The preparations for the COP24 Climate Summit were the main topic of the meetings between Sławomir Mazurek, Vice-Minister of Environment, and the Ambassadors of Singapore Loo Choon Yong and Brunei Datin Paduka Hajah Rakiah Haji Abdul Lamit. The meetings were held as part of Poland's preparations for this year's COP24 Summit in Katowice.

On the 13th and 14th March of 2018, at the invitation of the Ministry of Environment, a Chinese delegation headed by Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Representative on Climate Change Affairs, was hosted in Poland. This visit is connected with Poland's preparations for the COP24 summit, which will be held in Katowice in 2018, it is also another step towards continuation of good cooperation between the two countries.

Henryk Kowalczyk, Minister of Environment, and Paweł Sałek, Vice-Minister of Environment, Government Plenipotentiary for Climate Policy, attended a meeting of the European Union Environment Council (ENVI). The meeting took place on the 5th of March 2018 in Brussels.

On the 27th of February 2018, Henryk Kowalczyk, the Minister of Environment, opened the first meeting of the inter-ministerial COP24 Summit Organisation Team, tasked with coordination of the activities connected with the preparation and carrying out of the 24th session of the UN's largest and most important global climate policy conference.

Paweł Sałek, Vice-Minister of Environment, Government Plenipotentiary for Climate Policy, took part in the 16th Informal Meeting on Further Actions Against Climate Change organised by the governments of Japan and Brazil in Tokyo. The meeting took place on the 22nd-23th February 2018.

Changes in the Hunting Law were the subject of a consultation meeting held at the Ministry of Environment on the 19th of January 2018. The discussion was attended by the Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk, Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Rafał Romanowski, as well as representatives of ecological organisations, farmers, foresters and hunters.
