Mariusz Orion Jędrysek Prof., PhD
Graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Wroclaw, full professor and PhD in earth sciences in the field of geology, biogeochemistry and isotope geology. Precursor of shell gas research in Poland. Chief National Geologist in 2005-2007. Member of Parliament since 2011. Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry. Founder and Chairman of the Parliamentary Team for Raw Materials and Energy, member of the parliamentary teams for, among others, reduction of fuel prices in Poland and shale gas.
Member of the NSZZ ‘Solidarność’ trade union since 1986. In 2006-2007 and at present (2016-2017) the President and in 2007-2008 Vice-President of the General Assembly of the United Nations International Seabed Authority. Chief editor of the monographic series in the field of geology in 2007. Vice-Chairman of the Steering Group of the Regional Innovation and Implementation Community (RIIC) in Climate KIC EIT in 2010. Member of the AGH University of Science and Technology Convent and of the Committee on Mineralogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Graduate of multiple scientific scholarships, including in the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and Humbolt Foundation.
