Andrzej Konieczny

Graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, majoring in forestry. In 2004, Andrzej Konieczny earned a PhD degree in economics. His PhD dissertation was devoted to the management of rural areas in the context of the implementation of the law on allocation of agricultural land for afforestation prior to the Polish accession to the European Union.

He has also completed the postgraduate Master of Business Administration studies at the University of Illinois in cooperation with the Technical University of Lublin, as well as postgraduate studies in Corporate Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Economics, the University of Białystok. Andrzej Konieczny has gained his professional experience working, since 1996, at the State Forests where he held various posts in various forest districts, including the Chotyłów Forest District and the Pomerania Forest District.

In 2006-2008, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Lublin. He has also worked for the Directorate-General of State Forests in Warsaw as one of its inspectors. In 2013-2014, he was the head of the Białowieża Forest District. Andrzej Konieczny has also participated in professional internships in the forest management in Switzerland and Germany.
