24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change / 14th Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to Kyoto Protocol will be held in Katowice, Poland from 3-14 December 2018.


The preparations for the COP24 Climate Summit were the main topic of the meetings between Sławomir Mazurek, Vice-Minister of Environment, and the Ambassadors of Singapore Loo Choon Yong and Brunei Datin Paduka Hajah Rakiah Haji Abdul Lamit. On the 13th and 14th March of 2018, at the invitation of the Ministry of Environment, a Chinese delegation headed by Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Representative on Climate Change Affairs, was hosted in Poland. This visit is connected with Poland's preparations for the COP24 summit, which will be held in Katowice in 2018, it is also another step towards continuation of good cooperation between the two countries. “Emission reduction through zero waste coal power as an element of the Paris Agreement implementation” was the subject of one of the Polish side-events of the 23th UN Climate Conference.
