The annual COP sessions are the key events in the international climate negotiation process, bringing together representatives of all Parties to the Convention (196 countries and the EU) to decide on further actions to protect the climate and on the functioning of the Convention itself. This year's session, hosted by Poland, will be held in December 2018 in Katowice.
The COP session is accompanied by a number of scientific, social and commercial events, which provide a forum for the presentation and exchange of ideas, innovations, strategies and solutions for combating global warming.
