Attention!
In accordance with article 5.1. the act on 22 June on genetically modified organisms a consent for the contained use of GMOs or for the deliberate release of GMOs into the environment, or the permit to place GMO products on the market shall not relieve the applicant from the obligation to obtain permits or other decisions related to undertaking of any such activities required under separate provisions.

Article 47 of the act on 22 June 2001 on genetically modified organisms obliged to label GMO products.
A GMO product label should contain following information:
If the whole product is genetically modified, the label should read "genetically modified product". If only some components are genetically modified, the words "genetically modified" should appear next to the name of the component. The wording and information should be legible and typed with font of the same size as the name of the component or product.
Detailed requirements regarding the method of GMO product labelling shall be set out in the permit for placing on the market the GMO product.
The obligation of labelling shall not apply to a product which contains GMOs or parts thereof in quantity equal or less than 1% of total mass of components of the product if the presence of protein or DNA from GMOs is unintended.
Packaging
In accordance with article 46 of the act on 22 June on genetically modified organisms in cases justified on the grounds of protection of human health or the environment, the permit shall oblige the GMO user to provide additional packaging to prevent release of GMOs to the environment during transportation, storage, or at later stages of placing them on the market, or shall specify additional requirements for placing GMO products on the market.
