Warsaw, 27 August 2008 Meeting to be held in Warsaw on 27 August 2008 by the Voivodship Marshals and the Management of Environmental Sector The function performed by the Voivodship Marshals is to chair their respective Voivodship (i.e. Provincial) Self-Governmental Boards. Their current talks are aimed at discussion of the issues which relate to management of municipal waste and water and sewage management in Municipalities. They will also discuss questions pertaining to development of the air protection programmes and preparation of the applications for derogation of certain air pollutant limit values. During the debate, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, Dr. Henryk Jacek Jezierski, Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of the Environment, Chief National Geologist, and Professor Andrzej Sadurski, President, National Board for Water Management, will deliver their relevant addresses. The meeting to be held with
the Voivodship Marshals will be also attended by Mr. Ryszard Zakrzewski,
Deputy Director, Department of Environmental Impact Assessment, and Ms.
Małgorzata Szymborska, Head, Section for Technology and Post-Production
Wastes, Department of Waste Management.
