On 4 August 2008, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, and Professor Andrzej Sadurski, President, National Board for Water Management, give their joint news conference dedicated to the current status and the future developments of the Włocławek Dam on the Vistula River.
  
The issues concerning technical status of the dam in question and the project titled Environmental Safety of the Włocławek Stage of Fall will be discussed.
