On 17-18 July 2008, in Szczecin, Dr. Maciej Trzeciak, Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of the Environment, Chief Nature Conservator, participates to conference dedicated to designation of the Natura 2000 sites in the area of the Western Pomeranian Voivodship (i.e. Province).
     

The aim of the conference is to present the current status of work carried out on designation of the Special Areas of Conservation in the Western Pomeranian Province. Thus, the participants will be familiarised with both the plans to manage (in the next three months) the field survey in selected Municipalities of the Western Pomeranian Province, and the general assumptions made for designation of both the Special Areas of Conservation and the Special Protection Areas.

The results of seminar on biological diversity in both Poland and the Western Pomeranian Province, and the objectives and responsibilities of the activities managed by the Voivodship Special Teams (VSTs) will be also presented. The VST Coordinator will provide information on these sites in the Province that are covered by the VSTs activities and the field tasks performed by the specialists.

The conference is to be concluded by discussion.

The conference, as organised by the Voivodship Nature Conservator of the Western Pomeranian Province, is open for journalists and general media and it is held in the Auditoriu Maximum of the University of Agriculture, in Szczecin, 17, Słowackiego Str., 10.00 hrs.
