On 5-7 July 2008, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, visited EXPO 2008, in Zaragoza, Spain
     
Minister Maciej Nowicki?s visit to Spain is linked to the Polish Day at EXPO 2008. On 7 July 2008, Professor Maciej Nowicki took part to conference titled "Polish Regions - Spanish Regions" where he delivered lecture on "The Infrastructure and Environment - Investment Programmes in Poland by 2013, the Cooperation Potential". Polish Environmental Minister also invited the Spanish Hosts to cooperate in the field of the environment.

The motto of this International EXPO 2008 is "Water and Sustainable Development" and it aims at highlighting the relations between humans and water. Poland?s participation to EXPO 2008 is held under heading CREATE and CARE.
