On 3-4 July 2008, in Paris, France, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, participates to Informal Meeting of the EU Environment Council
     
In course of the meeting, Professor Maciej Nowicki provided information on the current status of Poland's preparedness to the 14th Conference of the Parties (COP14) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, serving as the 4th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (MOP4) that is to be held on 1-12 December, 2008, in Poznan, Poland.

The actions aimed at counteracting climate change are also discussed.

During debates of the Informal Meeting of the EU Environment Council discussion is to be held also on the issues concerning the provisions included in the Climate and Energy Package.
