Professor Jacqueline McGlade, Executive Director of the European Environment,
visits Poland (on 13 June 2008, Warsaw)
    
    
During the talks to be held with Dr. Andrzej Jagusiewicz, Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection, Professor Jacqueline McGlade is to deliver presentation on the conclusions derived from Conference titled "Bridging the Gap" covering the sustainability research and sectoral integration. Besides, the concept of the reform of the environmental protection services, including planned establishment of the Directorate General for Environmental Protection in Poland is to be disused. 

The visit Professor Jacqueline McGlade is to pay to Poland will include also an afternoon meeting with Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment.

 
The European Environment Agency (EEA) is the EU body dedicated to providing sound and independent information on the environment. It is the major information source for the entities involved in developing, adopting, implementing and evaluating environmental policy, as well as for the general public.
