On 1-2 June 2008, in Bonn, Germany, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, participated to Meeting at the Bureau of Secretariat and the Session held by the Subsidiary Bodies of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol
 

On the first day of his visit to Bonn, Professor Maciej Nowicki met Ms. Connie Hedegaard, Danish Environmental Minister. Both Ministers discussed the issues of the preparation held currently in Poland to the Poznan Climate Change Conference, and the Poland's negotiation position concerning the Climate Change and Energy Package.

Minister M. Nowicki participated also to talks held by the "Three", i.e. Environmental Ministers of Poland, Indonesia and Denmark. The issues of their discussion referred to a common vision of the objectives to be achieved during the Climate Change Conferences in Poznan and Copenhagen. 

On the 2nd June, Professor M. Nowicki participated to Session held by the Subsidiary Bodies of the UNFCCC, in its part dedicated to measures for determination of the emission reduction targets. He also met Mr. Yvo de Boer, Executive Secretary of the Climate Convention. During the Session, Professor Maciej Nowicki provided information on the current status of Poland's preparedness to organisation of the COP14/MOP4 that is to be held in this December, 2008, in Poznan, Poland. He also reported the good results of the visit paid in April to this end to Poland by Technical Mission of the United Nations Secretariat.
