On 1 June 2008, in Bonn, Germany, Professor Maciej Nowicki, Minister of the Environment, participates to meeting of the Bureau of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change 
    
 
The talks to be held by the Convention's Bureau will precede a Session of the Subsidiary Bodies of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol. The results of the meeting on Climate Change Talks, that was held on 31 March - 4 April 2008, in Bangkok, Thailand, the aim of which was to speed up the works aimed at combating climate change, will be also discussed during the present talks.

Professor Maciej Nowicki will provide information on the current status of Poland's preparedness to organise the 14th Conference of the Parties (COP14) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, serving as the 4th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (MOP4). 

Also, other participants to the talks are to inform the participants on their own expectations vis á vis the Session of the Subsidiary Bodies that begins on 2 June in Bonn, and the duration of which is planned by 13 June 2008. 

Prior to the meeting of the Convention's Bureau, Professor Maciej Nowicki will meet Environmental Ministers of Denmark and Indonesia.
