Final Celebration of the Earth Day 2008 
(27 April 2008, Warsaw, in the Pola Mokotowskie Park)
       
  
On this Sunday, in the Pola Mokotowskie Park in Warsaw, the final celebration of the 19th in Poland Earth Day was held under heading "Climate in Need" - in reference to the resultant hazards from global warming. The visitors had the opportunity to enjoy a lot of attractions and individual expositions prepared by particular Governmental institutions, National Parks and non-governmental organisations, and also scientific institutes and universities and colleges.

The picnic in the Pola Mokotowskie Park was attended by Mr. Janusz Zaleski, Under-Secretary of State, who visited the expositions presented by particular Governmental institutions, National Parks. He also participated to ceremonial planting an oak in the park. 

Action titled "You Can Also Plant Your Tree" was enjoyed by many visitors. They had also the opportunity to give back their used electronic equipment, test regional meals, watch interesting expositions and films on global warming and also take part to various workshops and games. 
On the stand managed by Ministry of the Environment, information and educational materials will be disseminated and information provided on the performance of the Ministry and environmental hazards, including global warming and many other environmental issues. Children, the youngest participants to the picnic enjoyed ECO-HOUSE where they could place their various things in.
 
 

  
Band led by the Czech musician Ivan Mladek performed their original artistic programme prepared for celebration of the Earth Day 2008. Many listeners enjoyed this concert.
