The Ministry of the Environment is launching a new project for Polish innovative companies operating in the green technologies' sector. It is called DesignEvo and combines environmental technologies with a modern design and construction in line with the principles of circular economy. The programme was presented at today's press conference of Maciej Grabowski, the Minister of the Environment.

How much water do we have in Poland, where and how do we use it? How do we manage our water assets? Where will we be flooded, and where will we struggle with the consequences of droughts? These questions are answered in the report “Gospodarowanie Wodami w Polsce w latach 2012 – 2013” ["Water Management in Poland in 2012–2013"] prepared by the Ministry of the Environment.
The role of authorities in ensuring safer mining activity is unquestionable. The conditions of work in the mining industry, in particular underground, require constant vigilance. When the state of the sector that is most prone to accidents deteriorates, the life and health of people require even more protection, said Vice-Minister Sławomir Brodziński, Chief National Geologist during the Miner's Day celebrations of the State Mining Authority (WUG).
Marcin Korolec, the President of COP19 and Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Environment opened the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 10th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol – COP20/CMP10 in Lima. In his speech, he reminded of the achievements of COP19 held in Warsaw and the EU agreement on an ambitious greenhouse gas emission reduction target of 40% by 2030.
Sławomir Brodziński, Vice-Minister of the Environment, Chief National Geologist, attended the Shale Gas World Europe conference held on 24–26 November in Warsaw.
